After a decade of practice, Darius Barai set up the independent design firm in 1982. Darius Barai heads one of the leading architecture and design practices in the country with offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Dubai. ABM's wide experience spans major institutional and corporate projects, private buildings; office and retail interior design, hotels, health and residential spaces. The firm enjoys a reputation for architecture and design solutions that are responsive, committed and comprehensive, and most importantly, varied and proactive. Our Vision

The skilled, seamless workforce of over 45 in-house architects, designer and engineers is ably supported by the m. competent structural and service consultants. Design excellence, widely acclaimed by the many awards and citations received, is furthered by limiting the number of projects handled by senior associate. to not more than three at a time. This policy ensures that the design team assumes a complete, focused responsibility towards outstanding implementation.

ABM's approach to design involves four basic concerns:

1. Understanding the requirements of the clients

2. Evolution of the design

3. Integration of design with engineering principles

4. Project management and execution

Appropriate design direction is generated through discussions among the client, architects and services consultants where various relevant issues are discussed and brought to a level of understanding and commitment among the design team. This in turn gives rise to design decisions that dictate the size of the project, the context of the site and the constructability of the concepts.
